The Best Ability is Availability. This is one of my favorite Zator-isms. For nearly a decade, Mike Zator has epitomized the essence of availability at Let’s Pave. His unwavering presence has been a cornerstone of our success and growth. As CEO, I have had the privilege of working alongside Mike since he joined us as a partner, just six months after our launch. Reflecting on his journey with us, it is clear that Mike’s impact on our company—and on me personally—has been profound and transformative.
Mike joined our team, bringing a wealth of experience from corporate America, holding significant roles in finance and facilities leadership. His transition was driven by a keen understanding of the vendor landscape and a dedication to amplifying the customer voice within our operations. Mike’s initial focus on assessments and budgeting revolutionized how we serve our customers, enabling them to optimize and extend their investments like never before.
As Let’s Pave grew, so too did Mike’s role. His journey from those early days of building assessments, budgeting tools, stewarding customer investment(s), and more, to his position as Chief Financial Officer charts a path of exceptional leadership and commitment. Under his stewardship, our company not only expanded its reach but also its impact, becoming a leading name in our industry.
Today, with a bittersweet heart, I make public that Mike will be stepping back from his day-to-day duties at Let’s Pave. This transition marks the beginning of a new chapter in his professional life, and for Let’s Pave. However, it is crucial to recognize that while his daily presence will be missed, his contributions will continue to resonate within our walls and beyond.
Importantly, Mike remains a partner at Let’s Pave. His investment in our business and, more significantly, in our shared vision and values, remains steadfast. Our relationship, built on years of mutual respect and collaboration, remains fully intact. That is something that will never change.
As we navigate this transition, our team, our partners, and I will continue to draw on the lessons and principles that Mike has instilled in us.
