Ordering online or with a mobile app has been around for a while. But it wasn’t until the pandemic that consumers started using this technology consistently. Now these tools have largely become our go-to resource for buying retail merchandise, food, and groceries to name just a few items.
As the country re-opens, there will be more changes to the way we interact with businesses and purchase goods. You may have heard the terms “touchless” or “no contact” delivery thrown around. This is a no-brainer. But, what about curbside pick-up/concierge? We all know curbside service has helped to keep many restaurants—large and small alike—afloat during the shutdown. Is it here to stay? According to many experts, the answer is a resounding ‘yes.’
And, we couldn’t agree more. After all, when same-day delivery isn’t an option or economical, it’s almost as easy to hop in your car, pull into a reserved spot, and pop open your trunk or roll down your window. It’s a great way to maintain a safe social distance from other shoppers, but it also has far-reaching benefits. Curbside service is valuable and viable for local mom-and-pop businesses just as much as it is for national chains.
Retailers, restaurants, and business owners around the country see it that way too. Curbside pick-up/concierge is here to stay. Whether that means retrofitting existing spaces with new signage and markings or adding spaces to increase capacity, sites will need to carefully design and plan their curbside parking program to make it well visible, safe, and convenient for customers to get in and out with ease. The good news is that all of this can be accomplished quickly with the right partner in parking lot management. A trusted partner will not only increase your curb(side) appeal, they will also help to increase your brand appeal.
When it comes to adapting sites for curbside parking (adding to existing spaces or creating new), Let’s Pave can help with it all. In fact, we recently retrofitted a shopping center parking lot with new curbside parking in less than 72 hours. It was our client’s initial rollout of the program. Our team designed the program logo, produced the signs and stencils, tested paint colors, and handled the installation and striping application. Within minutes of completing the project, we witnessed the first customer pull in to one of the spaces. For more information about all of our curbside parking capabilities, please visit our curbside service page.
Within 24 hours of receiving a call from our client, our team developed several design concepts for parking lot and landscape signage.
Within 48 hours our crew arrived on site to re-stripe stalls, paint specialty markings using custom stencils, and install signage.
Within 72 hours, the project was complete and customers began using the new curbside parking.
